Open Source Anti-Virus

May 05, 2007

I uninstalled Norton because it told me that I needed to renew my subscription. Needless to say, I was annoyed that the software I paid for was asking me for more money. Plus Norton is a system resource hog and is incredibly slow.

I researched for open source anti-virus software solution and decided on ClamWin (Windows). Overall I feel great about my decision. I am happy to rid my computer of the"Norton system resource hog" virus.

You should try to change your vision. For example you could try to change your antivirus to BitDefender Free edition 2010 or maybe to Avira Antivirus. Both of these antivirus software are valuable and free to use…

You’ll definitely want to switch to Microsoft Security Essentials; it’s much more efficient and professional.

I read reviews about norton and other av software. Some of this are really headaches to costumers. I better use Avira, cheaper but really works.
